The Lower Elkhorn NRD, along with many other NRDs across the state, are using a new application for online reporting called Producer Connect. This application will be used for flow meter reporting about water usage but also has the ability to submit crop and management reports for nitrate applications, and soil test results.

The Lower Elkhorn NRD will be hosting four training opportunities for those who would like help registering and/or learning how to fill our reports. The meetings will be open house style.

  • Tuesday, November 18th - Lower Elkhorn NRD Board Room - 1:00-3:00pm
  • Thursday, November 20th - Osmond Fire Hall - 10:00-noon
  • Wednesday, December 3rd - Plainview Library - 1:00-3:00pm

Flow Meter Reporting

The LENRD requires flow meters on all high-capacity wells. Flow meter reports are due on December 1st every year. 

Management Area Reporting

 The annual Management Area Report (Annual Report) is not only a requirement for farmers in the Phase 2 and Phase 3 Areas, but it also helps document the work that you are doing to protect groundwater! Annual Reports are to be submitted for both irrigated and dryland fields regardless of size. The deadline to submit the Annual Report is January 15, 2026.
